INSIGHTS
1. What were some of the leading factors in your choice to homeschool?
2. A question that I always love asking you when we get together for our annual summer bash is what grade your kids are in… because for a long time, the answer was something like: “reading level is 4th grade and math is 3rd grade.”
Tell us about what that experience has been like for you—serving each child so uniquely
3. Am I correct to assume that your kids are really independent because you’ve been super intentional about teaching them how to do stuff—and having them home has really allowed for the extra intentionality?
Can you provide examples of the chores your kids do on a daily basis?
4. I’ve witnessed your kids be very independent from a super young age. Has it been different to teach independence to a girl than to the boys? If so, how?
What about differences you’ve witnessed with their ages?
5. Can you give us your top two or three strategies for raising independent kids?
