Humans are naturally drawn to others by their interests.
Because of that, people can miss out on a lot of possibilities on solid friendships– just because of differences of interests.
With current friends, recognize that disagreements and arguments don’t mean you aren’t good friends. Learning to solve conflicts is an extremely important skill to develop!

Outro
Give them the space to ask questions– they may question you before they agree with you. This conversation may hit pain points, if they have struggled to find good friends or if they just had a big argument with a close friend. This is intended to help you teach them how to find good friends beyond their tendency to gravitate towards those with shared interests.
When kids are given the opportunity to digest new information with you, their #1 teacher, in their safe space, they begin welcoming new challenges, as their curiosity, competence, and confidence flourishes… making them lifelong learners.
